Anyone seen this show on Spike? Its pretty new.

Although the producers seem to miss some of the points in there testing, its overall a da*n good show.

Reason I'm mentioning this: Next week its Mafia vs Yakuza; they'll look at the weapons and s*it between the two and see who will win.

I watched samurai vs. viking. It was alright.

Also, avatar updated for impending doom.

Samurai winning was bullshit, viking should have destroyed his ass. He would have too if they considered anything but his shield the "special weapon" gave him his longbow instead of javelin as his long range weapon.

For all the flaws they have in their testing, its interesting enough to keep me entertained. (Although this means they were wrong twice (viking should have won, so should the knight- they never tested the cutlass against armor... and they didnt test if the guns would penetrate through plate armor with chainmail and leather padding under it))

I was disappointed by the ninja vs. Spartan episode. Although the Spartan won, I'm sure it wouldn't have been nearly as close a fight as they portrayed. I don't see how you can even compare the two. Especially considering ninjas don't even have armour.

Also I agree with what Perlov said about the knight vs. pirate episode. The pirate had guns, but the knight didn't get to use most of the weapons they showed off before, like the lance and crossbow. And when the knight hit the pirate in the face with the morning star (giant spike-covered flail), he only got knocked backwards and didn't lose his entire face like in the demonstration.

Oh well, it's entertaining for sure.

The reenactments are not what the actual fight would look like. The choreographers only know who wins, and they just put the Hollywood in the thing. The thing to pay attention to is the data, although the fighting scenes are ballin'.

Yeah, the final battle is a demonstration of all the weapons they tested, so in order to make it flow the fight has to be close

Only exception seems to be the halberd, for some reason they forgot it in the demonstration by the knight..

I guess the knight would only carry either a sword or a halberd, I doubt a knight can carry both. It will slow him down.

Yet a Samurai can carry a katana, kanabo, that long thing, and a bow, right?

Er... Samurai's are f**king' crazy! Correct me if I am wrong (which I probably am), knights specialize in long range or short ranged? Don't crossbowmen usually not wear armor? I don't really know.

WHAT THE f**k EVER, This was such a stupid episode. The knights would of kicked a pirates ass. They didn't even test the cutlass against the Armor, nor did they test the throwing possibility, I'd sure as s*it throw that morning star at somebody then rush in with a Halberd. And the Knight was clumsy as s*it in there, a well trained knight would have moved better, and probably wouldn't of stared at the pirate with the gun at his face.

The reenactment is not suppose to model how the real fight is gonna be! It's just a smooth segway to show who the winner is.

It is a fun show to watch, although I do have one problem with the layout.

The "Doctor" and the "Biomedical Engineer" both give very precise qualitative analysis' when they diagnose an injury on the test dummies (e.g. Explaining how a spear injury severed the brachial artery and fractured the humerus which would result in a kill shot.)

However the "Computer" guy always reverts to the "That totally killed him dude!"

It seems like his only purpose is to type data in an excel like program, and even that only recieves less than 30 seconds air time. I guess he could have a purpose behind the scenes in further programming variables of the application, but the first 56 minutes of the show could be better without him.

Liked the episode, the computer guy shut the hell up in this one... and the testing done seemed to be decent

Only problem i had was the molotov, they didn't test what a direct hit from that would do. They seemed to under appreciate it..

da*n, what I don't get is why the compared the sawed off vs the pistol. The episodes continue to pwn, next up Spetznaz vs Green Beret. In an out in the open war, Mafia would win. If it was a closed out space where one ambushes the other, that would be Yakuza.

I think you're mistaking the Mafia for some bulky arm and the Yakuza for the Vietcong or ninjas or the like.
