Character Background/History/How you know about the Mafia:
John Morris used to be a Police officer, he then found a big crime scene in Detriot, He traveled to Detriot in under 21 hours (coming from NY). When he arrived, he had an hour to get to the crime scene. At the bank, he found out that he was the only person there. He tried to call for backup but all of the officers told him that since he was so independent, then he can handle it on his own. Furiously, he threw his phone into a nearby lake. He was then surrounded by tons of Mafia members and was taken hostage, they told him that he was to become one of them or die, he changed his name to Devin Hester and chose to join the Mafia. Expecting something on the NEWS at the Mafia's "Crib", nothing was reported and nobody ever knew what happened to John Morris.

What you offer:
I can offer a boost in better crime scenes and I can also take hostages, robberies, etc.

Why you want to Join:
I want to join the Mafia because i was betrayed by the PD and when i was a Police Officer, watching bank robbers rob banks was interesting, espiacally when they got away. I think i would really love making crime scenes like robbing and taking people hostage.

Aside from several other mistakes you are making in your application, which I will try not to hold against you, I will have you know that it takes 5 hours to get from NYC to Rochester, NY, driving at the speed limit, at least. Driving to Detroit in 5 hours? No, I don't think it's possible.

Honestly, I don't think Fisk should be a creditable place to name. I've played there a few times and it was horrible.

Why does no one keep the da*n app in character like it says? The WHOLE thing is IC, not just the Background part.

And personally, if I was taken hostage by a bunch of mafiosos in a poorly-concevied background story, I would probably stick with the PD and not join them.

Well I understand either way, and that particular instance when I deleted your post was because it was particularly harsh, though that isn't to say I didn't agree with you 100% (which I actually meant to put in the message I left when I edited it). Either way, I try to know my role in this community, and when it comes to applications, I tend to just make remarks on people's roleplaying talent.
