((Note, forum roleplay's are not my specialty. And it'd be alot easier to do this in-game but ehm..yeah, do not beat me up too bad about the faults in this little speech, as this is my first forum-roleplay.))
After a brief consideration by various news teams, a small assembly of photographers and journalists assemble at the NukeCity Park. A man, appearing to be in his mid-thirty's with slick black hair combed to the side, wearing a black suit and a red tie walks up to the news podium as his face is shined by a flurry of flashs from various photographers, "Assistant NCPD Commissioner David Toretto has called this press conference to speak with you about the mayoral race. He will speak with you all momentarily, so I ask for your patience and consideration." The mid-aged man steps down with a swift nod to the news crews at the park.
After a small span of time passes, the candidate steps up to the podium and adjusts the microphone with a smile. Staring into the small conference crowd, he announces, "Good evening, I am pleased to announce that I , David Toretto, have declared canidicy for Mayor of this great city. My morales being as the following, which I shall explain the causes for these drastic actions afterwords,:
That all taxes on firearms be reduced by twenty-five percent.
All taxes on alchoholic beverages reduced by fifty percent.
All willing and able bodied civilians loose benefits from welfare, and be given to the more needing.
Public officials yearly salary increased by up to five percent.
Government funded police equipment, including tazers, firearms, kevlar, and cruisers.
All criminal persecution fines and punishments be doubled.
And of course, the local drinking age of NukeCity reduced to the proper age; eighteen."
"These actions I've stood and believe in may seem radical and extreme to some eyes, but I do this because I know it must be done. These newly put laws are to simply save our town from turmoil and anarchy, I hope that you, my fellow citizens, will come to believe in me and my morales. Thank you."
David steps down from the podium as a final light flashs as the camera is turned to a reporter, David mumbles in the background with a quick cough afterwords, "And I promise I won't f**k your wife."
