A lot of people have been asking about custom organizations...

Here's what we will be doing:
We will be accepting applications for these organizations (Please pm them to me) until Sunday, October 5 at 9pm EST
We will be accepting TWO organizations, one legal and one illegal.
There will be a community vote for each organization (Assuming it makes the cut. I reserve the right to decline your
organization for any reason.)

Here's the Application to PM me. (Those who sent the application already please resend it with additional information that I'm asking for)

FORMAT:
---------------------------------------------

Your RP name:

Your steam ID:

Organization Name:

Organization Type: Legal/ Illegal

Organization Purpose:

How will this Organization improve RP on our server?:

Organization Ranks/ Job description: (don't go overboard and don't come up with payment amounts, we will determine it)

Any other people leading this with you? If so list their RP names, forum accounts, and steam IDs.

Have some brief Organization history, for example the Mafia didn't appear in the span of an hour with massive power in Russia.. they started small somewhere (you don't need to have it in the application, just have some that you could explain to me if I asked)

Will this org need anything such as a property/ plugins/ etc to be successful?

FINALLY:
Give a brief overview of the entire organization to be posted in the vote:

I'm EXTENDING the voting till next week, I didn't get the turnout and variety I was expecting.

People, please send in UNIQUE applications that will vastly improve RP.

Sample application sent in, great idea, well written (Courtesy of Shadow)

Quote:
1.Name of Your Organization: Blackwater Worldwide

2.Short name of Organization: Blackwater

3.Description of what your organization is about (Like its history, why it was founded, ect): Blackwater Worldwide, formerly Blackwater USA, is a private military company founded in 1997 by Erik Prince, and Al Clark. It has alternatively been referred to as a security contractor or a mercenary organization. Interestingly, in October 2007, Blackwater USA renamed itself Blackwater Worldwide, basing themselves in the U.S. the state of North Carolina, where it operates a tactical training facility claiming to be the world's largest. The company undertakes training of more than 40,000 people a year, mostly from U.S. or foreign military and police services. The training consists of military offensive and defensive operations, as well as smaller scale personnel security. However, technologies used and techniques trained are not limited by U.S. domestic law, although it is unclear what legal status Blackwater Worldwide operates under in the U.S. and other countries, or what protection the U.S. extends to Blackwater.

4.Description of what your organization does: (For additional information on these contact me)
- At sea replenishment (Via air support)
- Offensive and defensive air support
- Disaster relief
- Maritime Mobility and Logistics
- VIP Protection
- Law Enforcement (Usually in cases of disaster relief)
- Military Based Uses.
- Weapon Trafficking (For law-enforcement use.)

5.How will your organization will benefit the server:
It will provide a unique twist or the organization list. Seeing as it is a contractor/mercenary organization it could operate on both sides of the law.

6.What will your organization need to do to be role played successfully:
-A realistic armory consisting of:
- Rifles (Automatic, Semi-Automatic, and long range)
- Pistols
- SMGs (With moderation)
- Shotguns (I don't care much for sawed off, considering its unprofessional)

-A clean cut crew to fill the positions of the organization, meaning no foolish people who do not know how to RP correctly.

- Cooperation with the city's law enforcement

- If possible, and to extend RP, the warehouse.

7.What will your organization needs to be successful: Basically what is stated above.

How you as the organizations leader will make sure its role played successfully:

- Id keep the amount of people within the organization limited, and appoint only people I trust to high positions.

- Id check in with each member where possible and for an evaluation

- Considering that I am among the administrative staff, if something were to come up with one of my members and your on duty Id appreciate it if you could bring it forward to me, before punishment is administered, so that I may be aware of the situation.

8.Brief Description of the ranks you want and what each rank's roll is (No pay scales please, I will determine that):
Ill revise the names later (its like 1:30 in the morning and I am tired so ima just throw names together and ill get creative later)
- Blackwater Administrator (Top)
- Blackwater Associate Administrator
- Blackwater Field Officer
- Blackwater Specialist
- Blackwater Contractor
- Blackwater Associate
- Blackwater Trainee

9.Any thing else you wish to add:
I would really appriciate it if this was seriously considered to become a new organization.
I am aware of the past mercinarie organization diddnt turn out well, but I will make this one work.
We wont directly rob a store/bank, seeing as we will be a semi-law enforcement.

A warehouse/large hideout is a suitible base of operations for a Mercenary based organization as is supplies sufficient storage space while keeping enough space for...more gray area type activities.

I want to send mine in, but I really haven't had and probably won't have time to update it to fit what you've asked for. But if somebody wants to take my idea and run with it, feel free.

This thread describes the idea I am referring to: http://forums.nukesilo.net/viewtopic.php?f=50&t=6385

I have updated the example organization application I have posted previously, and so I would like to share it with the rest of you to get an idea of some things that could be considered in writing your own organization application, or simply in reading about other folks' ideas. Notice however, that my application does not directly follow the format that Andre has set forth, because I have not had the time to alter it that much. Do NOT follow my format directly when considering how to write an application. Also note that payment amounts are NOT to be included in any organization application, though mine has them listed.

------------

Application:
Quote:
In-Game Name: Maxwell Murdock.

Steam-ID: STEAM_0:1:0699257

E-Mail Address and/or IM Address: jgd3162@rit.edu or MaxwellMrdr6 (AIM)

Organization Information: The Maxcare Finance Corporation is a versatile, civil, supportive, humanitarian, visionary program aimed not simply to coexist in the vast city of NukeCity, but to be immersed in the thriving essence of the city, that is, its people, and on the more grandiose scale, the permeating current of business and commerce. Money is not simply the "root of all evil"; currency is everything. And in fact, Maxcare Finance Corporation maintains a more positive outlook on the old saying, emphasizing that proper use and distribution of commerce can be used to achieve astonishingly helpful results, for all citizens and businesses, not just a lucky half-dozen or so.

Just as it is the vast stream connection for all big businesses, it serves as a leveling device for people of all standings. The financially less-fortunate can accomplish the same as those who are already beneficial. In lamens terms, those who do not necessarily have money can have it, whether this occurs through loans, stipends, benefits, coverage, grants, jobs, or service projects. Those who do have money will find intelligent ways of using, manipulating, and augmenting it through this service. Investments, beneficial shopping opportunities, donations, and ideas for smarter saving--they all happen here. Think of the company not only as your bank, but as your most knowledgable financial advisor, and friend.

Name of the Organization: Maxcare Finance Corporation

Location of the Organization: This should be better determined later in the debate, but logical areas would be the bank or an office, I suppose. It's an upstart corporation, in reality, so truly no property need be given in its infancy. Role-playing its introduction through the ideas of a visionary individual would work wonders.

Organization Positions, Descriptions, Limit and Salaries:

$40 - CEO - Head Corporate Executive of Operations.

$35 - Vice CEO - Secondary Head Corporate Executive of Operations.

$30 - Internal Relations Official - Oversees all processes and personnel within the company.

$25 - Customer Support Executive - In charge of customer relations and services, particularly with large-scale operations.

$25 - Financial Assistance Counsellor - Advises customers in planning and executing financial and business related tasks.

$20 - Accountant - Maintains records of company transactions and develops plans for finanical improvement within the company.

$15 - Field Agent - Mobile and advanced form of the Clerk. Will carry out some higher level executive actions. Also in charge of advertising related tasks.

$10 - Clerk - Performs basic customer service tasks and serves as first order of contact between small-scale business associates and the rest of the company.

Story--Describe what happens during a typical day in this organization:

This organization is devoted to its customers, and in the grand scheme, all the inhabitants of the city, materialized or not, are said to be customers. So, as an employee and proponent of the corporation, one is, at the most basic level, dedicated to service toward all who come hither to embrace it. Depending on one's niche in the hierarchy, this might mean handling loans and grants for those worthy (and there are likely to be many) of them. Perhaps this person is offering financial advice. Maybe they are meeting with big business head honchos and settling deals for sponsoring an important project. Somebody needs to keep track of all of these incoming and outgoing transactions, too!

And for those who find this idea to be much too innocent and virginizingly good, ponder about what happens when a business transaction goes sour, when a loan is not paid back. Obviously, such a globally important business as this cannot afford such mishaps too often, so where, or who, does it turn to when the debt must be relinquished?

Recap: So what could MFC do?
Money lending, loans, grants, stipends, donations etc.
Insurance (on just about anything).
Sponsorship.
Business deals--like partnerships.
Job searches and career fairs.
Charities.
Community service.

Scams.

So what would make this experience "fun"?
Essentially, the functionality of anything from as basic a level as individual events and persons, to big business, government, and world relations, is an algorithm of money. Everything and everyone has a hand in money. Currency is directly linked to many incandescently valuable things, including freedom, power, opportunity--the list goes on. To possess this entity of finance is to harness and reap all the beneficial (and remarkably surplus) "quality of life" quotas thereof pertaining to it. And naturally, to be in the business of commerce is to have access to the green, in some way, shape or form; to have access to money is to have a vast array of outlets toward a greater status and more desirable goals. Think, generally, about the groups that run the world today: the government, the military, big business, and the banks. Now dig deeper. What fuels each of these pillars? Are you now seeing in a greenish hue?

As I was thinking about the possibilities that the organization I suggested could produce throughout its daily activities in the server, I realized that more emphasis would be put on the need for a justice system to solve a lot of the in-character issues that could arise. That is not to say that some grandiose judiciary organization would have to be established, but rather simply, there would be desire to hire some civilian lawyers and judges.

Why? With the prospect of characters attaining loans and other financial assistance packages, issues arise when considering how those particular sums of money should be dealt with when, say, a person dies (whether they are character killed or simply "knocked out", so to speak), or when they simply don't pay by a specific deadline. Thus, there is a call for the establishment of legal documents, like contracts and wills. If a person is character killed, whom should the money they received from this potential organization go to? Certainly it would not be right for them to keep it themself. Or perhaps they were only "knocked out" or in a "coma" (as in a non-CK), but for the purpose of restraining or deterring their access and use of such money. How should the money be treated in that situation? How long before action is taken? Maybe, aside from all of this, a certain person simply did not hold up his end of the bargain; maybe this person did not pay back a loan by the time specified. Obviously, there is a need for a trial in this case. Additionally, the idea of each person having a bank account becomes more involved, since such business of loaning or giving money is most often based on a person's financial status and history.

So, basically, I am thinking out loud right now, so as to make it easier for me to remember these ideas, and also to spark the imaginations of the rest of you.
