Every time I play The Specialists the game crashes all the time; from when I join the server to 7mins! Then there is the occasional automatic shutdown of my computer If anyone could tell me how to fix this I would appreciate it greatly.

fix your fps and rates rate 10000 in console and fps_max 100 and mack sure you are yousing a decent vid card and dont be throwin dem nades i no what else could do it but i wanna see if thisll fix 1st

All this did was lower my rate by 3000; my computer restarted once so far since I changed this.

Edit: Yea, it still crashes.

lol that cmd doesnt do anything with crashing (NUKER). there could be many ways youll have to specify if u did anything before it crashed? change any settings in your computer or stuff?

Make sure you have all the latest drivers for your video card, motherboard, ect.

After that if it still crashes then reinstall ts and join the server (its a fast download if mecklenburg right off our server) and if it still crashes go to a different map. After that if it still crashes get a better computer.

I didn't do anything diffrent, it always worked fine and just started doing it for no reason! It's not just TS, it's all HL mods

you shouldn't crash if you can play source and HL2 hmm... if it auto shut downs, check to see if one of your ram sticksticks gone bad. ti's happend to a few of my friend and this has helped!

I updated everything but it still crashes, on the blue screen of death (yes there is a blue screen of death for XP, it's an option that you can turn on...) it says something like IRQL_MORE_OR_LESS or somethin like that as the error.

Doesn't look anything like that in the XP version, it's a replacement option for auto restart on critical error. They just decided to include more technical information and take out the CTRL+ALT+RESET(or DEL) cuz everyone knows it never worked...

This explains that I need to repalce a driver; it could be any of them...

EDIT: The error was "IRQL_NOT_LESS_ OR_EQUAL".

I just tested about 50 games, they all crash after a while. I downloaded some new drivers and it crashes less now...
