although i am completely new to nukesilo

i have always wondered about the rentmod for properties.

i have noticed the map has alot of private properties, but are way too expensive to be bought

so why not put up a rentmod?

like renting a house from:
1day $1000
1week $5000
1month $25000 or 2weeks $7500 or with more or less cost as you wish

something like that

if it is codeable, because the last server i have suggested it at couldnt code it

I've seen a rentmod on different servers, but it was the owner who ultimately decided rent and time and things... Basically, just giving out keys and costing money seems suitable for me.

well what i have actually seen before "when it was tested"

the owner put up a npc like "7/11" to sell a room.

when you rent it, it gives you a key for the amount of time you rented it for

so that no "landlord" exists

I've seen this on several servers before. I strongly support the use of rentmod in the hotel.

Hotel, definitely. Do it.
But I do not think this should be used in apartments or hideouts.
Apartments SHOULD have 'landlords', and would add the the RP.
Hideouts... you can't really rent a drugshack, can you?

Why dont we just get more rich people in the server. If someone buys the hotel and acts as an owner, they can RP renting out rooms and such.

One of the problems the server has, which reflects problems in a real life city, is that we dont have a large upper class to facilitate a middle and lower class. No one owns anything of use. The bank, hotel, diner, gunshop, dance club and other buildings are not owned and therefore largely inaccesable to the average player.

The diner is owned, The gunshop cannot be owned as it has no doors.

The way it would work, is noone would ever own the hotel rooms. The money from the rent would simply vanish, noone would gain profit from it. This would also open up new rp for hotel employees.
