 Post subject: Startrek prop auction

StarTrek has had its first auction of selling off props from the show and movies.

So far the Enterprise-E model has gone for $110,000 not including the 20% that goes to the auction house, a 30 square inch model of a borg cube went for $80,000, and Picards flute went for $40,000.

The items estiamted to go for the highest are going on bid today (October 7, 2006).

Is that insane or what? Who would pay that much for some of those items??
