Post subject:  List of Nuke City Laws

Below are the laws. If you have something we need to add, then please inform me and I'll add it asap.

Please note that these laws are permanent and cannot be overriden or changed by anyone, including the mayor.

Code:
The arresting officer can choose to offer Bail at the crime scene or at the PD, He or She does not have to do it at the crime scene! If they bail there is no mandatory fee.  When their in their cell if there is a mandatory fee, then fine them before you lock them up.  You can choose to not give bail.

Crimes do stack.  If they were to do a armed robbery with pistol, then kill someone with a pistol they didn't have a licence for.  That would be 17 minutes with a $250 fine.  If one crime they do has N/A under bail, then they serve the jail time for all of it.  Some crimes do not stack, such as robbery and armed robbery, those do not stack, use common scene.

Crimes do not go away if there is one cop who remembers the crime.

The game could use a silenced sniper rifle

my friend can script it so that a ruger sounds like a berret, so when ur firing it pple r like "HOLY S*** SNIPER RIFLE FIRE. RUN FOR COVER!" and when they get hit they realize it's just a peashooter

Thats easy, just rename the sound file, and have everyone else do the same. Rename the barret sound for a ruger, then put it in the ruger folder. But you would only hear it... unless everyone else does the same. If not it would sound like a barret to you and a ruger to everyone else.

Looks like the maxium time you can get if you do all these crimes is 170 minutes (almost 3 hours!)

This takes into account:
Converting the mandatory fines into actual jail times
Taking 5 minutes and death over life sentence
Stalling for 2 minutes
Carrying 2 silenced pistols, an smg, and a silenced rifle without any lisences
Doing all these things in a row and finally getting caught at the end where the time adds up

And also I highly disagree on a life sentance, many new/cruel cops will use this and people will jaildodge.

Techianally Life Sentence should be the person in jails choice, and not really up to the cop.

This is probabley the most complete list of laws I have seen in a while. I recently made a large DB for my last community that incuded a system that went something like this:

Say "/robbery" (lists robbery laws)
Say "/guns" (lists gun laws)
Say "/domestic" (lists domestic laws)

...You get the idea. It worked great, but then everybody stopped playing. I guess the quick acess to laws scared most of them away, eh? Anyways, awesome list...

BTW guys whats happening is people in jail are shouting stuff and causing me or other peope not to see the text we need to see (Such as length or com messages). If that happens I'll write you up for obstruction of justice and add on 5 minutes to your current sentence. I suggest all other cops do the same for this as well.

Author:  Mike Yoh [ 10 May 2006, 09:23 ]
Post subject:

well, shouting IS good rp, but maybe you can mod it so the shouts in jail don't go past the exit to the interrogation room?

Author:  Supernuker [ 10 May 2006, 16:23 ]
Post subject:

yeah but people just spam the same stuff over and over, its just annoying, that isn't rp.

Planned murder? thats first degree murder and is punishable by death.

Consipiring to murder is planning in the murder but not actually commiting it.

How about settin something up so that we PD can use the /laws. Nothin to fancy but just enough so we can see the crime, the manditory, bail, and or extra time.

Something like:

Quote:
Armed Robbery (Store) :: 6Min // $200 or +2 // N/A ::

Just the new guy's idea.
