To really say, it wouldn't be too far in the future before cybernetic enhancements come. That said, I would like to promote a few ideas. First off, I'll give them a name, then a RP description. Anything in bold would be the wanted effect in game. 1.) Acrobatic Enhancement: a chip that would be (rp) installed in the shoulders, triceps, and bicep as well as the wrists. This would allow the person to wall jump more than three times, making it around six or seven times . Proposed Cost: 25k 2.) Nü Muscle: the fusion of theoretical science in stem cells as well as a few source implants, this system of working parts attaches to the outside of the host’s skin. It connects at the quadriceps, calf, and ankles to reinforce the host's ability to run. Though the implant would only work for a minute or so, the cause would be a quick boost of strength to the legs, doubling the user's speed. Proposed Cost: 30k 3.) Anabolic Lung: a steroids producing 'lung', located just above both kidneys. The Anabolic Lung introduces needed steroids into the host’s body, giving the host the ability to wield heavy objects while maintaining an even pace. An example of this would be wielding more weapons while being able to run like the host is carrying nothing (Give enough slots to maybe hold two more bars worth). Proposed Cost: 50k 4.) Cellular Suit: unlike the other implants, this enhancement is a suit that connects to multiple cybernetic plugs o the main body. It is very tight and can be hidden under any common clothes. One of the breakthroughs in human regeneration has created this suit, doubling the health and providing a heavy armor to the host. Though extremely enhancing to the body, it wears down on the nerves, causing the host to lose strength, and thus be able to carry less (slots equivalent to a mp7). Proposed Cost: 100k As for the enhancements, I believe that they should all stay as permanent items and take effect when you select them in your inventory and 'use'. Let me know what you guys think, I kind of brain crush sometimes when I'm thinking updates for my RPG. |

Bump and more ideas... 5.) Ocular Enhancement: a breakthrough in nanotechnology to has created nano-cells that can mimic those that make up the rods and cones of the human oculus. This new invention can bend the light through the user's eyes allowing him/her to see in the dark. The downside, of course, is what's bright is even righter. Proposed Cost: 25k 6.) Sonar Converter: this audio enhancement taps areas of the human brain, changing miniscule noises to sound much louder. The effect is much longer hearing range which can allow the user to hear far away conversations. The downside is if somebody shouts, the user will be damaged. Proposed Cost: 35k 7.) Heel Stabilizer: a foot applied cybernetic unit. This quiets the host's steps so that even running, the host makes virtually no noise. Proposed Cost: 35k |

Though I am not much of a fan of games, movies, etc. based on futuristic styles, I have to congratulate you on how well-composed and interesting these ideas are. Well done! Unfortunately, I do not believe that this type of enhancement will be widely accepted by the community and server that we have here. However, I must at least point out one thing: this game is based on the Matrix movie series. The setting of the movie itself takes place in the future where upgrades like this are possible! while the setting of the actual Matrix program is of our modern times, so we often lose sight of the fact that this game is somewhat based on the future. I hope everybody can understand what I am saying here. |

It's prolly a bad idea cuz it really seperates long-time players from newbie players, and that is really discouraging when you're a new cop and you're trying to catch the mafia boss who can run twice as fast as you. And the first way a cop tells someone is carrying illegal weapons is by their walk speed. If they're running as fast as a normal person's walking, something's wrong. When the upper CIA, SWAT, and MCPD get ahold of these, new robbers don't stand a chance. It's too unbalancing. |

Some good points, except that no one in the server should attempt to judge that a person is packing by how fast they run. While it IS an easy indicator for such a thing, it is not a valid method to use in real life. |

I concidered this 'seperation of regulars', but I doubt this would discourage people, rather make them want to play longer just to get some of these. Also, I was going to ask for a limit of 1 upgrade per person, that way there's not stacking effects. This would make 'specialist' style people (such as myself) to pick an upgrade and stick with it. |

well, Max, in real life it'd be pretty hard to hide an AK47 and Akmibo Berettas and RUN at the speed a person without anything will be able to run at. I guess 1 implant per person would work, but it's not like this is an MMORPG and the point of the game is NOT to lvl up and make money... it's to have fun and it's fine the way it is since everybody's same lvl, same equipment (minus weapons, but everybody can get those), etc. and everything's based on ur RP and fighting skills. It's still a FPS, cmon. |

I thought the point was to simulate real life in a virtual world except for maybe a heightened sense of disregard of death and nubcakes running around thinking "LoLz0rZ iTz oK iF i get pwnedz0r3d by teh copz0rz becuz i'll jus rez agin, lawl. so i'll just rob teh diner with a pistol and shoot at teh 5 cops outside lawl." from there... Cops got owned: (ooc) Nubcake: ((LAWL! U GUYZ SUCKZ0RZ! LOLOLOLOLOL!!!1!)) Flame war from here because the nub can't RP. Cops win: (ooc) Nubcake: ((i waz outnumbered so it doesn't matter. i'll pwn u 1v1.)) Come on now guys...Think about it. Do you really WANT to die in real life? Rhetorical question. Don't answer that. |
