*a bowl can refer to ANY* cannabis instrument... (ie. a bong, a pipe, and for the much more advanced "potheads" the almighty gravity-bong)

Nah the piece on a bong is a BOWLPIECE. The gravity bong is also the almight with the 2 liter Mt Dew
