MEDICAL JOURNAL Entry: #002 Date: March 15, 2009 Subject: Walter Joseph Kovacs (Rorschach) Official Current Status: Deceased/Missing Injuries: gunshot wound to the stomach which provoked a case of appendicitis The following is a description of the events that happened on the evening of March 15, 2009. 6:00 p.m. 3/15/09 The infamous Walter Kovacs (a.k.a. Rorschach) came into the hospital lobby today accompanied by a police officer. I was just shot in the leg in a hostage situation so I was feeling very irritable. As I limped out into the lobby, putting all my pressure on the cane I bore, I noticed the man in the mask had an immense amount of blood flowing from his stomach. The officer and I helped him into the surgical wing. I performed the standard anesthesia process and begin to work. There was no exit wound, and judging from the angle of entry, the round was dangerously close to his appendix. The actual situation was worst than I predicted, the shot had actually pentrated the side of the appendix which caused severe inflammation. The patient now being diagnosed with a case of appendicitis had worse things than a single bullet to worry about. If the appendix was not removed and the man put on dialysis to remove the fluids from the appendix in his system, he would die. Quickly I first removed the bullet, and set it aside as evidence on a tray beside me. I then proceeded to put the man on dialysis and remove the appendix. The surgery had no complications and was a complete success. I informed the officer that the hemodialysis would finish in 3 hours. Reluctantly he accepted to wait after providing thoughts on how to move the patient and the large machine out of the room. 7:30 p.m. 3/15/09 Mr. Kovacs heart rate seemed to increase at an odd frequency. I wen't over to inject a buffer into his system to stabilize it. Not a second after I inject the buffer did he go into cardiac arrest. The buffer would not have caused this occurance to happen. I retrieved the defillibirator and started standard procedure on the man. Sadly even after several attempts to revive him, he still flat-lined. 7:37 p.m. 3/15/09 Walter Joseph Kovacs died due to cardiac arrest 7:40 p.m. 3/15/09 I took Walter Joseph Kovacs body to the morgue to save for further examination done by the police. I placed his body in drawer #243. I apologized to the Officer. Zhukov for the complication, and offered for him to see him anytime. I inserted the body into the drawer and locked up for the night 11:30 a.m. 3/15/09 I came back in to retrieve my wallet which I left in the morgue earlier that night. To my surprise and shock, every drawer in the morgue was open. I examined the drawers to figure out why this was done. Everything was in order except for in draw #243... The body I had placed earlier in there was missing. As of now, I haven't reported the theft to the police. I am assuming it is his cult of followers that broke in to give him a proper burial. ((and I am aware ooc he has no followers.)) X Gordan H. Fisherman Personal Journal March 16, 2009. 12:00 a.m. The following information is off the record Four days ago I was confronted by a group of thugs. I was walking home from work, and they pushed me into a dark alley. They all pulled guns on me and told me I was going to die. Apparently in the hospital a gang member of theres died. This information may not seem relevant but what happened next was. A man in a mask and fedora appeared at the end of the alleyway. That night, Rorschach saved my life. He assured that he had no intention of saving my life and was just cleaning up the city of crime, but that doesn't halter my gratefulness. When I saw him in that room, and saw the excited look on the police officers face being able to turn him in, I knew I had to get him out of here. Everything said in the official record of what happened that night is true up untill the cardiac arrest. At 7:30 p.m. that night, I inserted a fluid that is a prototype intended for "suspending" animation of a severely injured patient on long trips to the hospital. This caused his heart beat to dramatically decrease mimicking death. To sell this event, I performed a standard revive procedure with a defillibirator, however the voltage was turned down so he would not actually be revived. After faking trying to revive him, I informed the officer of his death. I went to put him in drawer #243, in the hospital morgue. I informed the officer this was to keep him preserved for further examination. The officer left, and I followed. Later that night I came back, I then opened drawer #243. I revived Mr. Kovacs by injecting him with the antidote of the syrum I originally put in. He is now back in the night, doing what he does best I consider this my payment for him saving my life. Although if the situation arises again, I cannot afford to repeat the process... X GHF (( And a comment to Mikhail Zhukov, I apologize about how rough that was, and how when you later asked to come in to examine the body, I turned my radio off. It was because Walter and I took up alot of time discussing a matter in OOC, and I didn't get the chance to revive him/let him go. But serious kudos to your RPing, instead of metagaming when I /me'd like a usual cop would, you played along very nicely and proffesionally. Thank You. )) |
