Post subject:  Firebird casino presents...

The Firebird casino is back open for business, and we are now doing many more games than we previously did!

A few of the new things are dice, guess the number, and finally a weekly lottery!

((All of these are going to be done with a random number generator(random.org), I am more than willing to take screens of the generation if you so choose.))

Just some details on the new games.

Dice, either guess even or odd off of the sum of 2 die, or beat the dealer by the sum of 2 die. Both of these pay in a 1-1 ratio.

Guess the number: ((Done with integer generator))
Either guess even or odd, or you can create your own variation of it and we can decide the ratio to pay out.

The weekly lottery! (this is going to be done in the powerball format. Choose 5 numbers, with a maximum of 55 then a powerball number, with a maximum of 42)

Example of powerball format:
18-22-46-53-55 / 8

With the maximums being:
55-55-55-55-55 / 42

Each ticket costs 1,000 each. (Subject to change.) To buy a ticket, send me 1,000 in game and send me a PM with your numbers. You can buy as many tickets as you like.
Jackpot depends on amount of tickets bought.

Drawings will be done on Tuesday, at approximately 4pm pst. (7pm est)

Payouts will be done as follows:
5 numbers and powerball: Jackpot
5 numbers: 75% of jackpot
4 numbers and powerball 75% of jackpot
4 numbers: 50% of jackpot
3 numbers and powerball: 30% of jackpot
3 numbers: 25% of jackpot

Anything under this will not be given a payout

((Screen shots will be taken of the lottery))

(( I know that this places a lot of trust in me since I'll be the only one seeing the generator, so don't be afraid to ask for a screenshot. I wouldn't have done this, but the casino wasn't really fun with the "tea or water" game))

The Gov't might open a lottery

*looks from side to side*

Er, should the Mayor choose to do so, of course.

I believe that supporting the casino through government subsidies and organizational involvement would only lead to a regime that would be strikingly familiar to that of the last one... And we all know that regime was hated by the people for its broken promises and false intentions and finally brought to an end through the use of force. I would hope that my fellow candidates would learn from past mistakes. The Mayor's office is there for service to the people and for their protection.
Now I'm not saying that a gambling establishment isn't a sound business but it should be left in the hands of the private sector and not the local government.

The illegal casino isn't going to be supposed by the mayors office.

The illegal casino?
This has to be legal...

((Seriously, I can understand some inside, underground fishy business, but is the whole concept legit?))

((i have no problem with the gambling its just that it is a vice and should not be presided over in anyway by the government))

If you would so kindly point me to the law which states that gambling is illegal i would greatly appreciate it. ((where on /laws?)

(( The Firebird casino is not a official group or organization so yes it technically is illegal. ))

((since it is already being RPed is there a chance to make it an official org? whoever is chosen for mayor doesn't seem to have a problem with the gambling, though it should go up to vote. I know that we only wanted one new org but the casino is really just an old one revisited. it doesn't really need any jobs since it is owned and operated by i think just three people, something like a small business))

In defense of my statement, I would like to reiterate that it was not I who suggested any government involvement with a gambling organization. We are just looking at a monthly lottery as a way to get the money needed for our programs without taxation.

((well yeah thats what i meant i don't see how its illegal and im nor do i believe , though i do not speak for, my opponent care that the casino is in existence. While its not up to me and its up to Supernuker to allow you to exist, i will run my campaign with indifference to the casino))

While i believe that the people have the right to spend their money as they wish it is ill advised to broaden the ways they can throw away their well earned money. I also believe that one lottery is enough and we already have an establishment that does that. Taxes are factored in to the publics pay and gained through property acquisition. The people as a whole will wind up paying more through a lottery than through income tax. I am curious of what you will use the extra money for though.

Read my lips: no new taxes.

In fact, no taxes at all. My budget for the government envisions a system by which social services are provided without having to penalize those who may not even use them through universal taxes. A lottery is but one of the ways to gain revenue. The other is a public auction of some of those decrepit slums on the west side of the city that the government has come to possess through forclosures. ((aka, the unowned properties))

((hahaha read my lips: no new taxes hahaha))
Your budget for the government envisions a system by which social services are provided without having to penalize those who may not even use them through universal taxes? what about the police? Whether or not you are being robbed or shot at is not the issue the police are there as a deterrent. They are used by everyone ((except the crime syndicates)) are you saying that just a handful should go without so that the people as a whole get protection? And what should happen if the lottery isn't as popular as you believe it will be? How do you plan on paying for the necessary elements of our city such as the Police and Medical Departments?

((Huh, not sure yet, but if has already happened then good. But if not, then let this be known...

I'm really (And when I mean really, I mean to the largest f**king' extent) busy with life right now, so I doubt I will be able to get on for more than just the weekends, so, therefore, I leave all of my assets to perlov, AKA, Andre Zdrok, for keeping. They are his to do as he may so choose. I can't see to get on at the same time as he, so I will intrust that this matter will be dealt with in respect and decency, and not squable as it did the last time I tried to give property away. The above mentioned property includes the Firebird casino, and the homeless shelter. And whatever else I might have owned, that's all I remember really : /. Please place these properties under his ownership so that they may better serve the RPers of Nukesilo.))
