Idea! I hope it's not too late for this.

How about instead of the classical jail cells, we have a prison with a cafeteria, manual labor area, showers and the like? People could then socialize with other criminals and just live a separate, isolated life. People would then be allowed to be sentenced longer, improving the need to organize crimes to escape arrest. I just find the "jail cells in the police department" kind of dull and unrealistic.

I agree 100%. Currently jail time is basically an ooc punishment for an IC crime, because you get sent to jail for 10 minutes and do nothing except stare at a wall untill you're released. This in turn propagates bad robbery RP because the criminals are so desperate to avoid this boredom that they will try to fight their way out of everything.

Well the idea so far has been to have an underground cell block. With a common area, control room and 4 cells. But I want to make sure the rest of the hideouts etc get more attention first before I start making extravagant jails. Goldsource does have some limits, so im trying to get everything required in first, before making things fancier.

Just make one big jail cell, with a bed, table, chair, and toilet. This way, all the criminals can converse in the big cell. Also, a single solitary cell for roudy prisoners would be helpful.

Yea I can do that wake.

As an aside: The PD training map is nearly finished. After 2 hours of grueling work mostly involving compile times, we now have a map with classrooms, 3 gun ranges, 2 quick shoot target ranges and will finish it out with a residential shoothouse and commercial shoothouse.

Think windows that when a button is pressed, a target slides into view really fast and you have to figure out what to shoot within like 3 seconds before the trainer makes it disappear again.

That Frozen_Valley map had an excellent PD. I'd reccomend something like that. That PD..was perfect.

awesome idea! But could I make a suggestion?

make it a police and crime training area. The two sides would therefore be able to practice RPing together, because the beauty of rp is that other people have input into an rp, so you cannot possible predict all the reactions possible
