I suggest everyone go to the link below and run a security test, it will tell you if your system is in danger of getting any type of virus.

http://security.symantec.com/sscv6/default.asp?productid=symhome&langid=ie&venid=sym

Again, I highly suggest you take this security test.

The virus check shouldn't be needed, unless you don't have anti-virus software then I suggest you run that too, but the best anti-virus check is software thats on your computer Smile

good, I do not know how but I got a really nasty virus that killed my anti-virus software, then downloaded around 5 to 10 other virus, and gave me like 200 spyware. Besides that I've been clean too.

Actally it came off a webpage. When you open a webpage you download the page and all the files it needs to your temporary internet folder. (More than likely you knew that) People can place files in this so it downloads them as well. Same with spyware. Usally though, the virus or spyware require some other way to be "extracted" or "activated" once its on your computer, so if you have good anti-virus, you can catch it before that happens.

Anyway norton picked up a virus just like that on my last full scan in my temp internet files and deleted it, but it wasn't there long enough to do anything. That and 1 spyware was found and deleted.

Anyway as long as you don't download just anything or click on any link you should be fine. I bet everyone knows that though. Wait, I do know a few people who never check what their downloading and they just go to any page what so-ever. If your one of those... QUIT IT!
