Hey everyone, Kittie Thunders here to telly ou about griefing.
greifing in Second life is when a player uses weapons in a noncombat zone on other players without consent ,or uses himself or objects to harass or otherwise annoy. Greifers are generally disliked in all Sims and are treated with distain varying from vocal to outright aggression. Griefing it appears is so much detested that there are several groups and individuals who actively seek them out to disparige them from their habits.
Signs of possible Greifers:
- In non combat areas with weapons out.
- In non combat areas with active push shields on. (effectors pulse when putching walls)
- Randomly walking into groups of people pushing thema round.
- Randomly insulting people and making jokes about their Ava, mannerisms, ideas, ect.
- Pulling out weapons pointing them at people and then putting them away.
Dealing with Griefers:
- Ask them to stop bugging you.
- Inform Land owner or SIM Admin ( this can be hard sometimes)
- Leave the Sim or area.
- Report Griefer to Linden Labs.
- It is not recommended that you engage a greifer in a non combat zone as you may end up being labled one as well.
