I would have to say "Bad Grammar". That irks me more than anything. I hate it when I walk up to people in-game and I'm all like "Hello, sir or ma'am." and they're all like "hi do u know were the 7/11 is." and then I'd just walk off.. Not saying I have the best grammar ever, but jeez. How hard is it to spell? I can understand a 10 or 11 year old. But NO, we have f**king 20 and 21 year old RP'ers, who cannot spell "You" correctly.

Two words that include nearly all aspects of what gets on my nerves: YouTube Commenters.

"Oh, right, what kind of pizza?" Aiko replied with a grin "Death pizza sounds ppretty good." He whipped out his Desert Eagle and shot Carl in the face, then turned to his friend and shot him three times in the chest. As he stared at the carnage all over the sidewalk, he grinned. Then he walked away, as if nothing had ever happened....

Lol sorry couldn't resist, this is my favorite post ever made though, no offense intended.

*RANT STARTS HERE*

But anyways, what really grinds my gears is when someone metagames or just does a really bad rp (usually to get healed). This mostly happens when I am off duty and lets say walking around the bank. John Q. Public comes up to me and reads NCMD. The following is a direct quote from an event that happened last saturday.

Quote:
hi i have been shot 5 times lol can you heal me?

And also, this may include alot of people in the server, but as always I honestly don't mean to offend anyone (its just a tiny pet peeve). But it is when someone comes into the hospital and RP's a very serious injury (arm chopped off and shot in the chest 3 times), but they were still able to run to the hospital (by themselves), talk, and are fully able to explain the person/job who did this and place that this happpened, and then they ask for an operation. They then proceed to get mad at me if I just OOC heal them, I always find myself arguing like a schizo outloud whenever a metagamer/bad rper comes up, about whether I should just ignore them and take the brunt of their newfound opinion, or if I should try and play along.

In a surmised version, my pet peeve, in TSRP, is bad RPers (isn't it all of ours though?).

My pet peeve is people who do not thoroughly think about what they say before they say it. It occurs in-game, on the forums and just about everywhere else in life. They are the kind of people who will argue over something using words and reasoning that have no intelligent or logical foundation. They are notorious for committing the insidious logical fallacies--such as circular arguments, false dilemma and appeal to ignorance--that only serve to nullify the very arguments they are trying to make. They are the people who refuse to listen to ideas and theories outside of their own, and opt, instead, to produce an overabundance of misguided, ignorant propositions extracted from the chaotic figments of their vapid imaginations. In short, they are nothing but a waste of time for the educated, caring people who like to share ideas, because these mongrels repeat the same old song and dance, again and again, with little heed for the fact that they are completely off their intellectual and social rockers.

There is, I believe, a simple occurrence in nature which describes self-centered people of this type. Recall the conclusion that a person subjected to smelling a horrible, putrid stench for an extended period of time will eventually lose the conscious ability to detect the odor, likely as a means of protecting the mind and body from harm. It would seem that this might be applied to the kind of person I speak of, that after a long duration of producing and listening to their own "bullshit", their mind becomes desensitized to it, causing them to be content in believing their own rancid thoughts, and shielding them from the harsh reality that, simply put, they have no f**king clue about anything.

That was one of the most well thought-out posts I've ever read on any forum. Congratulations, sir.

I'd post what gets on my nerves, but it's a little too long to post ;)

But what's bugging me at this very second is that 0% milk tastes like water. Disgusting.

What bugs me is when I pull off the perfect crime, only to get thwarted by some horrible RPer who shoots me in the back of the head.

Don't know why I didn't post here yet. At least I didn't necro 8)

Where to begin...

The biggest thing that gets on my nerves is people that are ignorant. People that think their way is correct without a doubt without even hearing more than one side of things. This includes people who believe everything they see on TV/Internet. People that are racist/sexist/etc fall into this category of being ignorant too. Also people that stereotype.

Liars. People who say one thing and don't go through with it; lie about doing/not doing something. Makes me feel like they think I am stupid, that I can't connect the dots and uncover their lies. I love watching these people slip up and let something out that contradicts their whole story.

The RIAA/MPAA/etc. They think they can sue their customers. They think that keeping creative pieces of work locked down tight is right, when it only benefits themselves. Sure they have a right to make money, this is capitalism after all, but locking it down so tight stifles creativity. If perpetuated long enough, no new original artistic works will come out.

I could go on and on.

Nothing ever works without also introducing its own relative flaws. Such is the nature and balance of so-called existence.

Amazing how this thread went from talking about what gets on people's nerves, to politics.

Politics gets on everyone's nerves, obvi. I'll also add that your post was the catalyst to this transition, buddy pal chief.
