Cyberathlete Amateur League wrote:
The Cyberathlete Amateur League announced the following changes and plans for the Counter-Strike (CS) divisions:

1. Teams will be allowed to compete in both the Source division and one of the CS 1.6 divisions.

2. This season will be the final season of CS 1.6 for the Invite division. At the end of this season, CS 1.6 Invite will be converted to CS: Source Invite.

3. The current CS Invite teams will be given the first opportunity to participate in the new CS: Source Invite division being launched April 2005.


in other words, normal cs is dying in cal, so most likley everyone will be source in a few years.
