There seems to be a lot of problems with OOC interfering with roleplay situations. It just takes up the space. Well, back in some other servers, there's a plugin for OOC that displays it in the top so it would be out of the roleplay talkarea. More info can be found here:

This applies only to the global OOC. I'm sure you've seen this. I don't know if you've tried this or not. You guys just always disable OOC. I'm not sure if you disable it so nobody can just chat OOC or if you just want it to be out of the way for roleplaying.

FYI, there's also a plugin for local OOC (Where you use // to specify to those around you) which would then display your text as (( sorry man, accidentally pressed my bind )). I don't think the link I provided has this part. Just a suggestion.

I've seen the OOC at the top in some servers so I'M assuming that is what you're linking to. I honestly don't think that we've ever cared enough to look into moving the OOC but you're right, it has been causing a major distraction to RP situations. I will discuss getting this plugin installed with Nuker.

Perhaps we can compromise? Let's look into the source code, add an enable/disable menu and we can be happy? Or do we just want to prevent metagaming?

Assuming the mod turns OOC text into colored text that is displayed at the top? If thats the case, I would not suggest getting it. It gets very annoying, and fast, and can also interfere with the HUD.

Having it in other places than the same place where the regular chat goes isn't a good idea. Limited number of text channels in HL, and they can interfere with each other. Like the amx_scrollmsg interfering with the door owner names, etc.
