So there is a pirate ship full of pirates. They are scouting out other ships for supplies and gold ect. So one day the first mate runs up to the captain screaming "Oh My God Captain! There is a ship in the distance!"

The captain yells "Hurry! Get my red coat!" Puzzled, the first mate gets the captain his red coat. The pirates and the other ship fight and the pirates win.

After the battle, the first mate runs up to the captain and asks why he wanted his red coat. The captain replied he wanted it because if he was shot then noone would notice. The first mate found that to be a good idea.

The next day the first mate runs up frantically again. "CAPTAIN, THERE ARE 10 BATTLESHIPS IN THE DISTANCE!!!"
The captain replys frantically "HURRY, GO GET MY BROWN PANTS!"


I dunno. It's really old but i still find it funny.

Just like he wears a red shirt to disguise that fact that he is bleeding, he puts on brown pants to disguise the fact that he may s*it his pants, after seeing 10 Battleships, meaning extremely biased odds against him and his crew.

I heard the same thing about George McClellan, the Union General from the Civil War era.
