For some reason I cant join the server. It says there was an error recognizing my steam ID from some server. "Authentication Error" was the specific name. Help? Ive tried restarting steam to no avail.

Try exiting Steam, then delete Steam.dll, SteamUI.dll, and ClientRegistry.blob.
