Ya... they have had very similar s*it to this about 8 years ago. They are also studying useing implanted micriochips in the brains of soldiers to inhance their capabilities with memory and reflex.

son of a gun..... they say they want to use it for video games..#1 how? how would it work? vertial reality? also they say that thye can make you do anything, i can see a hacker creating a software for it and if you want to be a professinoal dancer..BAM!

can you imagin this....

2 kids in high school put this on their heads
2kids have xbox controllers link to the headsets wirelessly
and they have the mortal kombat software loaded.
and they just start fighting with ppl with xbox controllers....

most deffinitly the US will not release it here for safty sake and stuff.

holy s*it.... im shocked man... Imagine if a maniac got a hold of this technology though... Plus i think when they impleneted it for gaming though, its gonna be more like The Elder IV Oblivion... It would cost like a million bucks but my vision of it would be like those circular carpets that are like kind of a treadmill where u walk wherever but u don't ACTUALLY go anywhere... except in the game where u have goggles, and also, it would be cool if u could have like wires hooked to ur body so that if u get shot or stabbed or punched u feel it... that would own so much! Plus Oblivion looks like it's gonna pick up every game award next year basically except maybe MMORPG which i think is the only thing that it's missing.
