1. No it wouldn't crash teh tsrp server to get a DOD:S server.
2. Nuker I AM thinking about supplying DOD:S for teh community, hell you have the sven server and NS, who plays it? how much did it cost to run? if i want to i will, any votes for it?
1. Actally the source server would eat all the cpu and memory the tsrp uses causing it to crash much more frequency. This isn't a problem with the natural selection and sven coop servers as they do not use heavy amounts of cpu or memory.
2. Its ran it on the dedicated machine we have bought, we can run as many servers on as we like on it, but we have to keep in account the cpu usage, and memory usage. The cost does not go up for running more or less servers, it will go up if we upgrade the machine, but after that point we only have to keep cpu and memory in mind. And We do not have enough cpu or memory for a DoD:S server.
I'll Try to explain it more below:
__________
CPU Usage on the dedicated ( Min [Empty], Average with low player count, Average when full, Max )
TSRP Server*: 10, 25, 55, 100
NS Server**: 0, 3, N/A, 5
Sven Coop**: 0, 1, 4, 9
DoD:S Server***: 25, 45, 75, 100
*TSRP Server also includes apache and mysql which are required to run the tsrp server. All of these are on the highest cpu settings.
**Are on 2nd highest cpu priority, if cpu is needed for something running with more cpu priority (TSRP) it will get it unless the next level down is in dire need of it.
***: Estimated Values Gotten From NFo and compared with when I did a source server test on dedicated server empty and comparing it with the difference in cpu usage on my computer between css and dods servers. Max Player Estimated at 14 players.
__________
As you can see, the NS and Sven Coop server have very little impact on the tsrp, but the DoD:S would use a very large amount of cpu power and would cause massive lag spikes in the TSRP Server, along with amost any other source server (Not as bad though, but it would still be there).
