Jim Vincetti pushes his dad (James Vincetti) in a wheelchair up to the Hospital's counter for his appointment.
The young, kind nurse at the counter says, "Yes?"
"My husband has an appointment with Dr. Smart for a Heart Transplant," said James' wife, Sarah Vincetti.
The nurse looks at the computer monitor.
"Ahh, yes. He will be with you shortly. Please, sit."
Jim pushes James next to the couch and Sarah sits next to James. Jim sits next to his mother. Sarah holds hands with James, both looking into each others eyes.
"Everything is going to be alright," says James.
Sarah nods and starts to tear up.
"Shh, shh..." James puts his arm around her.
A nurse comes out from the hospital doors. "James Vincetti?"
James waves. "Right here." The nurse pulls him away from his family, but before leaving through the large doors, James Vincetti says, "Can I talk to them for a second?"
"Yeah," says the nurse. She turns the wheelchair around towards his family, but the family stays sitting.
"Jim, take care of your mother."
Jim nods and puts his arm around Sarah.
"And Sarah," he pauses shortly, "It's going to be fine, I promise."
The nurse pulls him back through the hospital doors, and James wonders if he'll ever see them again.
The nurse pushes him through the halls, into a blue room with around four people in blue medical suits. "Are you ready?", says one of the people.
James nods. They lift him up onto the bed, and James stares up at the beaming lights above him. They swab him in the arm and give him a shot. Several moments later, James dozes off into a mystical sleep...


A doctor rushes out of the big doors to the Hospital lobby and takes off his mask. Sarah and Jim look up at him, and the doctor says, "I'm sorry, he didn't make it."
Sarah starts crying and Jim pulls her towards his chest. A tear runs down Jim's face.

((If you didn't know what happened before, James had a heart attack and had to get an artificial heart. And tomorrow I'm posting the funeral, so you can say your regards and such then.))
